Longines Tre Tacche, watch winds and runs, unknown service history, had tested at local watch shop, was told plus or minus 15 seconds. Not a watch pro by any means. Watch is not perfect as it is a older time piece.

The caliber 370 movement in particular was marketed as the “Curvametric” in Gruen’s own advertising,  even though the dial itself just says “Curvex” and “Precision.” Only four specific movements ever qualified as true Curvex-grade Gruens, and this is one of them. This watch is a rare True Gruen Curvametric Precision 1950 manual wristwatch with a gold case and red leather strap. This vintage watch features a rectangular shape with Arabic numerals on the dial, 17 jewels in the movement, and a two-piece strap closure. The watch has a right-handed design, a mechanical manual movement, and a polished gold filled case. With a case size of 24mm and a lug width of 16mm, this dress/formal vintage piece is a unique find for collectors and watch enthusiasts.

The gold case is in wonderful condition with the detailed and defined fish scale engine turned finish to the outside of the casing. To the bottom right corner is the loop for affixing a chain. The front cover is pushed upwards, which then releases the catch, allowing it to hinge open.

Here we have a compact late 1920s early 1930s monopusher chronograph watch. It has the two inset sub-dials with the constant seconds and 9 and 30-minute counter at 3. The hands are of spade and whip style with the eye-catching thermally blued tone.
