A GORGEOUS C1960'S SOLID 18K GOLD 2 REGISTER LEMANIA CAL 1270 CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH IN SUPERB ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH A STUNNING MINTY DIAL. IN RUNNING ORDER DEFINITELY A WATCH FOR THE CHRONOGRAPH COLLECTOR, AND THE CHRONO ENTHUSIAST. CASE: This is a nice 3 piece snap back solid 18k yellow gold case of the period. It is in very good condition. There are quite a NO noticeable dings on the case sides or the case back. The case is hallmarked to the outside for 18k gold and shows some light scratches especially near the crown but nothing which is visible when worn on the wrist. The case back snaps on nicely. This fabulous SOLID 18K YELLOW GOLD watch case measures a large 3.8cms (38mm) in diameter excluding the crown and pushers. DIAL: This superb watch has its generally MINTY ORIGINAL 2 register white chrono dial. This dial is in fantastic condition and shows very little wear for its age. It is fully signed in black painted lettering with the wording 'HERODIA'. The dial has the words 'ANTIMAGNETIQUE' and '17 RUBIS' on the bottom of the dial. The chrono dials are in beautiful condition. The dial has a full set of original golden hands which show only a very light oxidisation as you would expect. The dial has gold applied Arabic numerals and black outside chapter rings which are in good condition. One chrono dial shows a few marks. The crystal is in minty condition. This is a stunningly beautiful and original chrono dial. MOVEMENT: This fantastic 18k gold cased chronograph wrist watch has a superb clean robust LEMANIA CAL 1270 chronograph 17 jewel movement fitted. The movement is unsigned. The movement has been timed and oiled by my watchmaker. It is running well here on my desk but as always a full service would be recommended for continued operation and timekeeping and you buy the watch understanding this. The pushers are working as they should and the centre second counter snaps back to 12 as it should. The movement winds and sets nice and smoothly showing no undue wear. It keeps good time to within approximately 10 secs per day dial up as tested on my timegrapher. BAND: This is a lovely lightly used light brown/beige 19mm pigskin good quality band. It is in very good condition with a gold tone buckle. The watch and band measure a total of 9 and 1/4 inches in total length.
