This is a manual hand wind mechanical watch in working order, keeps decent time. Unknown service history, could benefit from a good cleaning. Condition: The crystal has significant wear, the case has wear from regular use, the dial looks pretty good, lume no longer works, winds and sets nicely. Wittnauer-Longines Dress Watch – Gilt Linen Textured Dial – Early 1960s

Its service history is unknown. A dial gilded and finished like this is the rare exception, and sixty years have thinned the survivors further. The dial is gilt with a linen texture, a fine crosshatch cut like woven cloth that catches and scatters the light as the wrist moves.
