Here's listing for a very nice Lemania HS9 model from 1940s and a great example of genuine British military watch. This vintage wristwatch is a stunning piece that is sure to impress any watch collector. With a sleek silver case and smooth fixed bezel, this watch exudes a classic and timeless look. The white dial features Arabic numerals and dot indexes, along with a 12-hour analog display. The watch is designed for men with a max wrist size of 6.5-8 inches and comes with a royal blue fabric NATO strap with a lug width of 20mm. The case is made of polished stainless steel and has a thickness of 14.2mm. This Swiss-made timepiece is a true gem for any watch enthusiast. Watch is running strong without any issues and accuracy is around +30 secs per day. The natural aged light yellow patinas are quite even out on the hands, index dots and 6, 12 o'clock. If you look around on Bay very hard to come across like this kind of condition and nice patina. The crystal is thought to be original and has some scratches but won't be notice from arm length. The case is in very good vintage condition and seems to have never been polished except some pits and normal worn present from over 75-80 years old watch. Most of this series case size are 38mm but this Lemania is tiny bit large measure at 38.7mm and has excellent wrist presence. One push button chronograph is measuring time up to 30 mins for just simply stop, reset and restart in a quick perfect action for pilot and navigators. The chronograph is very good working and snappy to reset to zero and start, stop very responsive. This is series 1 late version with "T circle", and first version don't have Lemania logo and broad arrow on the dial. Lemania produced series 2 until 1960 for Royal Navy submarine crew which I have never seen in person yet, hopefully one day. Lemania is a very underrated watchmaker, and they have supplied movements to Omega, Rolex, Heuer, PP, Breitling and more long lists. They truly made reliable, functional tool watches for genuine military issue and almost all well-known household name from Swiss companies. Measurment, case 38.7mm, thickness 14.2mm, lug to lug 46mm, lug width 20mm. I have an identical Lemania 0552 Royal Navy one and decided to part this HS9 for new home. This watch was inspected by watchmaker recently and no issues for daily wear. Since the watch is over 75 years old and some parts might have replaced by MoD or watchmaker when due to servicing.
