Seiko 6306-7001 Turtle JDM April 1977 Kanji Day Wheel

Seiko 6306-7001 Turtle from April 1977. Watch has very attractive patina on bezel and dial. Case is in good shape with no major dents or scratches. Circular polishing is still visible on top side of case. Dial is in good condition with no scratches or marks. Hands appear to have been relumed or replaced since they glow longer than plots on dial. Watch is keeping good time as shown on timegrapher, but service history is unknown. Has not been pressure tested and cannot ensure water resistance. Comes with RAF anthracite single pass strap from CNS watch bands.

Seiko 6309 7290 Slim Turtle Automatic

Serviced Slim Turtle. Needed a new glass, bezel insert and rotor. Scratch on dial between 5 and 6. All cleaned and working great. Case has had a light polish. Bezel has new gaskets and turns in both directions however the click is not very loud due to a worn bearing. Looks great and works great

Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean Turtle, OG Special Edition, 2018. The dial is often misunderstood. It doesn't represent waves but rather is patterned after "rorquals", the ventral grooves that run from the chin to abdomen of blue whales. The color represents experience of color of the ocean surface to the deepest blue at high depths. The contrast of gunmetal bezel and crown on the silver stainless case offers an elegance that puts it just above use as a diving tool. It's a bit of a sleeper among enthusiasts, but it's one of my favorites, and I have too many favorites. I'm thinning my collection to welcome a new human into our home. This is priced to find the watch a new home too.
